A step-by-step guide to setup Google Translate.

Google Translate plugin is an experimental feature. We need your feedback to improve it further and make it stable.

Google Translate widget can be customized through Layout.

  1. Go to Blogger Layout.
  2. Find the LinkList widget with title Google Translate, if you have not renamed it.

Good to know:

  1. The language specified in Blog Settings will be considered as Page Language.

System language

It can be used to automatically select the language based on browser language.

To add it in the language selection list, create a link or edit existing link in the widget having Site name system with the button text as its Site URL. You can use # or custom_text in Site URL to use default text, i.e. System Language.

Default language

When system language is enabled, you can choose whether page language or system language should be used as default.

To set page language or system language as default, create a link or edit existing link in the widget having Site name default with page or system as its Site URL respectively.

Language list

To add a new language to the language selection list, you can create a link with language code as its Site name and language name as its Site URL. You can also use # or custom_text in Site URL to use default text. Following is a list of available language codes along with its respective names.
